Ask Me Anything On July 16, 12:30p Eastern

Lots of hands raised in the air, with lots of question marks above

I’m coming up on my 15-year anniversary of writing for Forbes. That’s over 700 posts, and a lot of them have come from your questions.

Ask me your questions at the next Free Webinar Wednesday on July 16, 12:30p Eastern. It’s an Ask Me Anything theme so all topics welcome from career change to advancement to FIRE to ???

Here are the first 3 questions I’ll tackle on July 16. The rest will be from the audience — so bring your questions!

Buyout or not) My company has announced a voluntary buyout. It would add about two extra months (total of six months) so it’s a good amount of paid time off. But I’m over-50, in tech, and at a brand name company now. It would not be easy to land a comparable job. I’m not miserable, but I’m not entirely happy on the job either. How do you know whether to take the buyout or hang on? – Tech

Stuck in the job search) I’m a corporate communications professional who actually loves their job. I have experience in internal comms, external relations, media/ PR, some brand and investor relations, and I’ve managed teams. I don’t have to lead a group, though I can. But I can’t seem to get employers interested — I’m finding companies are hiring more junior people in roles that I’d like to do. — Communications

Networking next move) I have applied to a lot of jobs and am networking, including following up with people. Should I do more content creation, coffee chats or more follow-up? – Risk management
